Baker has trouble finding staff

WACHTBERG-PECH. Because he cannot find any staff, a baker from Pech (which ironically translates to „misfortune“ from German) has to change his product range and close his branch in Villip. Despite a strong demand for bread and „Brötchen“, Karl „Charly“ Sonntag cannot offer homemade products in „Charly’s Backstube“ anymore, he will now sell items made by another bakery - because he has troubles finding new staff.

The reasons, as the baker suspects, are a new kind of lifestyle and biorhythm - for many young applicants the working conditions are „too tough“. The regular customers are particularly upset. The bakery who will now deliver the bread and „Brötchen“ to Charly’s Backstube also says they employ two refugees because it is too hard to find employees who would be interested in the job.

Sief Allah H. possibly had IS contacts

COLOGNE. The man who was arrested after police found large amounts of the highly poisonous substance ricin in his apartment in Cologne seems to have had contact with the terrorist group Islamic State (IS). As the news magazine „Spiegel“ reports, Sief Allah H. tried to get to Turkey twice, but despite being aided by the IS did not get the necessary permission to travel. But the German authorities did not pursue the case despite informing the equivalent Turkish departments.

The „Bild“ newspaper apparently found out that he not only had IS contacts but has been known as a radical, Islamic extremist“ in his home country, Tunisia. H. is said to have been involved in an attack on a bus in 2015. The father-of-four did not attract the police’s attention prior to his arrest, the decisive tip came from the US secret service CIA.
