New ADFC concept could convince commuters

The German Bike Club ADFC is demanding a speedy extension of the bike routes in Bonn and has presented a ten-path local concept. Commuters could then leave their car at home. This could be a good solution, a great way to convince motorists and to protect the environment. According to the District Association Bonn/Rhein-Sieg, three new routes on the left side of the Rhine could be built for 1.5 million Euro and would add 45 kilometres to the network - which would make the region more interesting for commuters. Unusual way to handle dog poo on the streets in Siegburg

Most people find dog poo on foot paths annoying. But in Siegburg, somebody - who exactly isn’t known - handles his or her anger very unusually, by sticking small signs into the smelly heeps with phrases „Don’t be a pig, take it with you“ on them, for example. On Facebook, this is being discussed quite a bit already. One user said: „Maybe this method creates a bit more respect with dog owners.“ It is unclear who is behind this, but what’s clear is: leaving dog poo behind can cost up to 35 Euro - if the dog owner is caught.
