Old cards should be swapped now New POS system for the public pools in Bonn

Bonn · A new POS system has been put into operation in Bonn's public pools. The cards of the old system can only be used until the end of June and should now be exchanged.

From July onwards it will no longer be possible to enter the public pools with the old tickets and cards. They can only be exchanged at the Sports and Pool Office. As the new cash register system currently only allows cash payment, season tickets valid for the 2019 outdoor swimming pool season in all six open-air swimming pools in Bonn must be ordered and paid for online at www.bonn.de/saisonkarte. A regular ticket costs 120 Euro, a discount version is available for 60 Euro. The new tickets are reusable, so a deposit of three Euro per ticket will be charged. The tickets can be collected at the indoor swimming pool ticket offices and later at the outdoor swimming pools. Proof of purchase, identity card and possible entitlement to the reduction must be presented. The photo required for the season ticket will also be taken on site.

Open-air pools open on May 30

On May 30, all six outdoor swimming pools in Bonn will open for the summer season. Melbbad, Römerbad, Ennertbad, Friesi, the outdoor part of the Hardtbergbad and the Panoramabad Rüngsdorf remain open until September 1. At the Friesi, the air dome will be dismantled from May 2 and the swimming pool will be prepared for the summer season. During this year’s season, the outdoor pools are open Monday to Friday from 6.30 am to 8 pm, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10 am to 7 pm. Frankenbad and Beueler Bütt have their last opening day on May 29, 2019.
