Case at District Court Bonn pimp who attacked Easter rattler kids gets six years

BONN/SWISTTAL · The 39-year-old pimp who already has eleven previous convictions, was now sentenced to six years in prison after attacking children in Ollheim on Holy Saturday.

The attack on the children in Ollheim, who were walking around with rattles as part of an Easter tradition, finally brought the Bonn pimp down. He collected eleven previous convictions over the years but managed somehow to avoid a jail sentence, because all other sentences were all issued on parole.

Now the accused, who is at home in the red light district for years, must go to prison for six years. He surprisingly retracted his appeal in the case of attacking children on Holy Saturday. The Court in Euskirchen had sentenced him to three years in jail in October 2017, for bodily harm and threats.

But that’s not all: Because of his confession three other open parole sentences for pimping, human trafficking, bodily harm and computer fraud concluding in three further years in prison were thus revoked. In consequence he gets six years in jail as a combined sentence. The 39-year-old had hoped to receive a milder sentence because he admitted to having been under the influence of drugs and suffering from severe sleep deprivation on April 15, 2017 when the brutal attack took place.

On Holy Saturday he was woken at six o’clock in the morning after he had just gone to bed, because children were rattling outside, as is a Rhineland tradition at Easter. When he saw the seven children and two mothers with the wooden rattles on the street in the afternoon, he simply lost it. But despite the cocaine and alcohol consumption the psychiatric consultant did exclude criminal liability at the time of the crime.

The pimp, who was driving in his Porsche, verbally threatened the children, and hit, kicked and threatened one of the mothers who tried to protect the children by standing in front of them. Three times he kicked her in a kickboxing manner until she fell. He kept kicking the woman on the ground and threatened: „I know where you live. I’ll bump you off.“

The 48-year-old woman had to be brought to hospital with concussion and whiplash as well as several bruises and haematoma. The scared children were brought inside by neighbours and comforted.

This „scarily brutal story“ in a small town in which nobody suspects anything evil, is now finished for the two mothers as well. Since the accused retracted his appeal, they do not have to appear in court as witnesses. Previously they had refused an offer for compensation by the accused.

The 39-year-old has announced that he plans to undergo drug therapy while in jail.
