City centre events Wine festival on the Münsterplatz

Bonn · A four day wine festival starts on Thursday in the Münsterplatz with wine tasting, music and food stands.

There will be wine, gourmet food stands and more at the wine festival on the Münsterplatz, which starts this Thursday with music and wine tasting until Sunday. Lord Mayor Ashok Sridharan will open the festival on the first day at 7pm alongside the Rheinhessen wine princess, Jennifer Henn, the Lengsdorf wine queen, Maria I, and the men’s choral society, Sangesfreunde Endenich.

On Friday between noon and 5pm the focus will be on smelling wine and recognising wine by its smell and taste. Those who guess correctly will win a prize. Willi Bellinghausen will play hits and Kölsch music in the evening.

On Saturday, the winemakers will offer trial packs of wine and from 4pm to 10pm there will be live music from the duo Captain Moonlight. The group Milchkännchen will play Dixieland music on Sunday from noon followed by Captain Moonlight again from 3pm to 9pm.

The wine festival on the Münsterplatz will be open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 11am and midnight and on Sunday from 11am to 9pm.
