Weekend tipps: Despite the title there are not (at least not only) bird and kisses featured at the design market in the BaseCamp this weekend. With lots of cool fashion, art, groceries (yes, cool groceries is a thing now!), accessories and furniture, this is well worth checking out. Because this fair takes place at an indoor location (and a stylish one, no less), this event is completely non-weather-dependent! Check it out: Bonner BaseCamp, In der Raste 1, all weekend, (0228) 93494955

COMING UP NEXT WEEK:
AGBC is inviting to join the meeting with Dr. David Y. Choi on MOnday, October 16, hosted by AIB - Akademie für Internationale Bildung: Los Angeles is entering a new age. Downtown LA, once viewed as the bleak site of LA Riots has transformed itself into a vibrant workplace, a chic residential area, and a dashing playground for hipsters Perhaps even more significant changes are happening in West LA. Big-name tech companies such as Google, Yahoo!, YouTube and SpaceX have opened offices there; start-ups like Snap, Tinder, Whisper, and The Honest Company have been sprawling like mushrooms. This makes LA’s “Silicon Beach” area the second largest tech hub in the United States. While Silicon Beach still trails Silicon Valley in terms of size and number of big-name firms or venture capital funds, it has found a way to build an ecosystem for a number of industries. The Silicon Beach startups have leveraged the unique resources and strengths of the Southern California economy to their advantage.
David Y. Choi, professor of Entrepreneurship in the College of Business Administration at Loyola Marymount University (LMU), is coming to Bonn and will share some of the major developments of Silicon Beach. Dr. Choi is excited to share how LMU’s Entrepreneurship program is taking advantage of its location (in the center of Silicon Beach). Dr. Choi has had an active career as an academic, consultant, and entrepreneur over the past 20 years. He is also the director of the nationally-ranked Fred Kiesner Center for Entrepreneurship, and has been a faculty member at LMU since 2003.
Address: Oxfordhaus - AIB - Akademie für Internationale Bildung, Adenauerallee 7, 53111 Bonn
VERY IMPORTANT: Please be advised to register no later than 1pm, Friday, October 13th, 2017. The event is free.
