BONNFEST: With plenty of music, around 100 stands, its own talent show and the first marathon fundraising event, the 19th Bonn Festival begins Friday and is expected to attract around 350,000 visitors to the city. Human Chain Against Racism: Planned by Amnesty Group Endenich and the working group “Asyl & Zuflucht”. People can join by meeting up at 5 p.m. at Trinitatskirche (church) on Brahmstraße. Around 5:30 p.m., people will join hands to send a signal against racism. Afterwards, all are invited to the Paulusheim for beverages and music from Sonja Kandels and Afrojazz. Around 300 people are needed to form the chain.

Pech Oktoberfest: Traditional fair in Pech. Begins at 1 p.m. at the Pech Fire department “Feuerwehrplatz” with attractions such as a bouncy castle for kids, a children’s flea market, coffee, cake and more. The day ends with a dance troupe performance at 9:30 p.m. in the tent.
