BONN/REGION · Another long weekend and time for the Museum Mile Fest, a Bonn favorite! Put on your walking shoes and check out the string of museums along the B9, there is guaranteed something for everyone.

Thursday, May 26 (holiday-Feast of Corpus Christi)

BONN

Museum mile fest Thursday, May 26 through Sunday, May 29: This is the biggest event on this long weekend. The museum mile along the B9 will be full of action.

At the Haus der Geschichte (House of History on Willy Brandt Allee 14), “Fußball ist unser Leben” (Soccer is our life) will be the theme and there will be much ado about the European Championship. On Thursday, from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., there will be a soccer arena with Foosball tables and fan make-up.

The Haus der Computerspiele Leipzig (House of computer games) has an exhibition in the Haus der Geschichte and presents a sampling of its collection. Soccer and sport will also be the big theme there with a Quiz show at 12 and 1:30 p.m. to test your knowledge on the European Champions.

Deutsches Museum Bonn,( Ahrstr. 45) will also be part of the fest. Materials and their properties are linchpin of the special exhibition entitled " Rough Fabric Carbon - The material of the future " . Tech materials have already made inroads in sport and racing . The BRS Motorsport presents its electric racing car . In the driving simulator, visitors can try their driving skills . Bonn's largest Carrera track is waiting for you. This is a place for families. 10 a.m. -6 p.m.

Kunstmuseum (Art museum Friedrich-Ebert-Allee 2) invites families to experiment with art and at the Bundeskunsthalle (Friedrich-Ebert-Allee 4), there is a Dance Workshop to go along with the exhibition from Pina Bausch.

GA Torfieber 2016 (General Anzeiger Goal Fever 2016) Thursday, Sat. & Sun. May 26, 28, 29: A junior soccer tournament with teams from the whole region covered by GA. Begins Thursday with early rounds of E.Juniors at 10 a.m. in Sport Park Pennenfeld (Mallwitzstr.) There will also be a forum for soccer card swapping. On Saturday, play begins at 10 a.m. with F-Juniors and Sunday at 10 a.m. for the final rounds with the championship at 3:45 p.m.

Open house at Villa Hammerschmidt, BMZ (Federal Ministry for Econ. Cooperation & Development) and World Congress Center Bonn: The public can visit the Bonn residence of the German President and surrounding park, as well as the formerChancellor’s Bungalow (where Helmut Kohl lived when he was Chancellor) or the former home to Parliament WCCB; with a colorful entertainment program called “International Bonn”; Entrance at Adenauerallee 135 (Identification required for entrance), Bonn, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
