BONN/REGION · Whether it's a flea market, theatre or concerts: The weekend ahead offers a full variety of events worth a visit. We have compiled some tips for Bonn and the region.

Friday, 15 March

"The Fabulous Singlettes" in Bonn

Until April 14 "The Fabulous Singlettes" will perform with the Malente family in Bonn. The Australians present a unique guest performance in Europe. The music show offers hits from the 1960s as well as disco classics from the 1970s.

International Dance Festival in Bonn

The Bonn dance company Cocoon-Dance celebrates its premiere with its new project "Dream City" on Friday at the Dance Festival in the Theater im Ballsaal. Rafaele Giovanola has taken over the direction, Rainald Endraß is responsible for the choreography and leads the production. Mathilde Grebot designed the costumes. In addition, seven professional dancers and members of the Junior Company Bonn will perform.

Dire Strats

"A Tribute to Dire Straits" will be the motto of the Bonner Harmonie on Friday and Saturday. Then the tribute band "Dire Strats" performs and presents the greatest hits of the British rock band, which was active from 1977 to 1995.

"Late Night" in Bad Godesberg

Once a month, artists from the Theater Bonn transform the foyer of the Schauspielhaus Bad Godesberg into a walk-in theatrical venture. Under the name "Late Night" they offer dancing and gossip together.

Saturday, 16 March

Flea Market in the Rheinaue

The monthly flea market will take place again on Saturday in the Rheinaue in Bonn. Thereis the possibility to "dawdle" all day long in the Rheinaue.

Crime scene dinner on ship

Under the motto "St. Pauli, Leichen von der Stange" there will be a crime scene dinner on the passenger ship MS Moby Dick in Cologne. Show-girl Betty Montana dies in the process, and it's teeming with crooks. The three-and-a-half-hour thriller theatre offers a four-course menu and music with live singing.

Sunday, 17 March

Organic market

Regional food and sustainable products will be available in Bonn on Sunday. Then "Der Grüne Markt" opens its doors in factory 45. Among the products on offer are accessories, cosmetics, organic food and confectionery.

Eschmar Nature Photography

The Koenig Museum invites you to the 16th Eschmar Nature Photo Days with live lectures on Sunday. The Naturfototreff Eschmar shows the photo lectures listed in the programme and a photo exhibition comprising around 70 large-format photos. This year, the theme of the exhibition and focus of the lectures is the fascination of nature in Western NRW.

Antiques and flea market

The antique and flea market opens its doors again in Bad Godesberg's city centre. On Sunday, March 17, visitors can browse from 11 am to 5 pm on more than 600 metres of sales area. Stand areas canbe reserved online onlyat www.bad-godesberg.info. After registration, the exhibitor can book an appointment. Last minute people, who want to sell on the market, can arrive on March 17, at 8.30 am before the chamber does the last assignments.
