Irish Stew: Folk rock gig

Ballads, jigs and reels, rock songs and typical pub hits to sing, dance and clap along – with this mixture of styles the folk rock band Irish Stew always gets everybody to party along. At the Eitorf Folk-Festival they were able to compete as a local band with established groups like Bardic or Paddy goes to Holyhead. Nowadays they play with Fiddler’s Green or the Battlefield Band. Pretty sure they will rock the Harmonie as well this weekend! Sláinte!

Foot golf: Gut Heiderhof

Foot golf combines - who would have guessed - golf and soccer. The idea: To kick a soccer ball with as few shots aspossible into a hole on a golf-course-like green. There are 18 tracks in the Gut Heiderhof, between 44 meters and 172 meters long - and the ball has to be kicked over, under and past obstacles. Sounds fun? Go, and try it out!

More Irish music, this time from the legendary and incredible Sharon Shannon. If you haven’t seen her live, you have missed out. Thankfully, this gig is on Saturday - so you can go to the local folk heroes (see above) on Friday, and then continue the emerald isle style weekend by attending Sharon Shannon’s concert on Saturday. Sounds grand to us, like!
