In and around the Bonn Opera Theaterfest on Sunday
Bonn · For those interested in the theater and opera, there will be a festival on Sunday in and around the Bonn Opera House, with lots of activities geared towards families and children.
The Theater Bonn will be hosting a festival outside the Bonn Opera House this Sunday, September 17. From 2 pm, visitors can experience everything from opera to drama, the youth program “Portal” and the Beethoven Orchestra.
On the big stage, there will be demonstrations of stage equipment. Anyone who has ever wanted to know what it takes to put a drama together, or how one makes a wig, will have the opportunity for speed-dating with Theater Bonn staff.
Face-painting for children and magic show
Throughout the day, there will be something for children and families to discover and enjoy, including face-painting, a magic show and an opportunity to participate in an event taking place in the Bonn Theater container. There will also be a photo opportunity once again in cooperation with the General Anzeiger. For that, visitors can be made up and costumed by professionals. Pictures will be posted in the GA newspaper if so desired. A small donation is kindly requested to benefit financially disadvantaged youth, so they may have the opportunity to visit the theater.
Another activity will be a specially arranged tour through the Opera House, with visitors experiencing small musical performances and concerts along the way. As in years past, the day will end with a big finale on the Opera House stage at 7:30 pm. It will give some insight into the coming programs of the season with members of the opera and acting ensembles, as well as the Bonn Opera Choir and the Beethoven Orchestra.
