The labor dispute with cabin crew at Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings in Germany has escalated. The flight attendants union Ufo announced that there will be work stoppages beginning Monday next week. Union chief Nicoley Baublies communicated through a video message that strikes could take place at any time during the two week period beginning on Monday.

Ufo declared that the discussions with management had failed. The public would be informed in “sufficient time” of any specific measures to be taken. After the two weeks, the union might possibly call for indefinite work stoppages. Baublies ruled out a strike during the Christmas season. (Orig. text: dpa)
