Eurowings Strike called for on Thursday

MÖRFELDEN-WALLDORF/DÜSSELDORF · Labor talks between Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings and cabin personnel have broken down once again. The cabin crew union has called for a strike on Thursday.

Details on the planned strike are expected to be released on Wednesday evening. Negotiator Sylvia De la Cruz of UFO, the union representing cabin crew has accused Eurowings of using delay tactics. In two days of talks, the groups could not come together on details about possible arbitration proceedings.

The dispute is about wages and working conditions for some 400 flight attendants of Eurowings GmbH, which operates 23 of the 90 mid-haul aircraft of the low-cost airlines. Eurowings is a subsidiary of Lufthansa, operating out of Düsseldorf.

Specific information about flights that will be affected is not yet known. More details are to be published before 6 p.m. this evening, as for example on the websites of CGN airport and Eurowings.
