Carnival joke Shark alarm in Kurpark pond
Bad Godesberg · It was baring its teeth and looked pretty dangerous. There was a shark about two metres long in the pond in Bad Godesberg’s Kurpark on Monday morning. It later turned out to be a joke.
“I have the impression it is scaring the ducks,” said Selina (6), who was playing there. However, she need not fear the plastic predator. It had been delivered a short time earlier from a barn in Ließem and put in front of the town hall as decoration for the “Night of the Pirates” this coming Saturday.
“Pranksters must have put it in the pond,” said fish specialist Stefan Stuch, who is organising the decorations for the carnival party. He saw the funny side and he and a friend pulled the fish out of the water a short time later. The ducks were pleased.
