Restaurant Sapore is a classic Italian restaurant on Poppelsdorfer Platz
Bonn · The restaurant has been owned and run by married couple Bianca (service) und Salvatore Gennusa (chef) since November 2007. It offers space for 34 guests inside, as well as 60 seats on the patio outside.
The restaurant has a natural stone floor, wooden cognac-coloured furniture and atmospheric canvas prints with scenes from Sicily on the wall.
On the menu: spaghetti in sage butter with fillet of beef carpaccio for 13 Euro, roast beef and veal with fresh herbs served on a skewer with rocket salad and lamb’s lettuce for 17 Euro, sword fish alla messinese for 22 Euro.
To drink: Sion Kölsch and Bitburger Pils (0.3l) for 2.70 Euro each. Eleven open wines (0.2l) from 5.10 Euro, such as Branciforti Cataratto from Firriato (Sicily) for 5.10 Euro and ten bottles of wine from 21 Euro, such as Lugana Trebiano from Ca Maiol (Lombardei) for 28 Euro. Lunchtime special offer is a two-course meal for 13 Euro.
The restaurant has wide appeal, attracting young families, business people as well as older guests. “We stand for fresh, authentic Italian and creative cuisine”, says restaurant owner Bianca Gennusa.
Opening hours are Tuesdays to Fridays and Sundays from 12 noon until 2.20pm and 6pm-10pm and on Saturday 6pm-10pm (kitchen times). The restaurant is closed on Mondays.
