Antique market in Bad Godesberg Park Hotel to hold parallel flea market

Bad Godesberg · The Bad Godesberg Antique and Flea Market invites visitors to have a browse around this Sunday. At the same time, the Park Hotel will be selling old furniture and accessories from the hotel.

For those who appreciate pieces with history, the Bad Godesberg Antique and Flea Market this Sunday, August 13 is just the right place. City marketing invites people to come and browse from 11am to 6pm. With all that is on offer, one could furnish a whole home: dressers, lamps, baskets and accessories as well as sets of silverware and dolls. Something for every collector.

One visitor who likes to get up early to go to the flea market at the Rheinaue is Ricarda von Petersdorf. In 2013, she and her husband, Bodo took over the Park Hotel in Bad Godesberg at Am Kurpark 1. Since then, the rooms have been renovated. The breakfast room with its windows facing Koblenzer Straße have retained their nostalgic charm.

But the von Petersdorfs decided it was time to have a look at the old treasures in the hotel basement and clear them out. This weekend, they will be selling café stools, numerous lamps, historic porcelain and some old wardrobes and dressers. Parallel to the antique market in Bad Godesberg city center, they will be having their own flea market in the courtyard of the hotel. Visitors are welcome from 8am until 5pm.

For anyone who decides at the last minute that they would like to participate with a stand in the Sunday flea market, they should meet at 8:30 am in front of the “Kammerspielen” (theater) at Theaterplatz. Remaining spaces will be assigned at that time. More information can be obtained from Stadtmarketing (City marketing) 0228-1842690. (Orig. text: koe)
