The restaurant Ohm Heim has been a family business since 1948 and Christiane Raaf has been the owner since 2011.

The country guest house has a rustic atmosphere and includes a room with a fireplace, a hunting corner, a music room, winter garden, saloon and seating for 160 guests. The hotel has single rooms for 44 Euros per night and double rooms for 75 euros (breakfast included). There is an outside terrace with seating for 40 guests.

On the menu: warm goat’s cheese with honey and thyme on roasted vegetables with herby fettucine for 15 Eu­ro, marinated pot roast with potato dumplings for 17.50 Eu­ro, rump s­te­ak with pepper sauce, potato croquettes and beans for 23.80 Eu­ro

To drink: Si­on Kölsch and Bit­bur­ger Pils (0.3l) for 2.60 Eu­ro, also on tap Fran­zis­ka­ner light wheat beer (0.5l) 4.50 Eu­ro. Ten open wines from 5 Euro (0.2l) such as Spät­burg­un­der Ni­ko­laus N. from the May­schoss vineyard in Al­te­nahr, plus around 20 bottles from 19.50 Eu­ro such as Weiß­burg­un­der Edi­ti­on Pi­not from Scheid­gen in the Middle Rhine region for 23 Eu­ro

Specials: self-hunted game, weekly menus

The restaurant attracts families, older people and day trippers. The house phi­lo­so­phy is to provide “an informal atmosphere, friendly service and good value for money”.

Opening times: Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 5pm. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11am – 2pm and from 5pm. Closed on Tuesdays.
