Bad Godesberg art galleries "Night of the Galleries" offers bus shuttle

Bad Godesberg · It’s back again this year, the chance to take in nearly a dozen art galleries on one evening in Bad Godesberg. Visitors can choose to shuffle between venues by foot or on a mini-bus.

Eleven art dealers and galleries will be participating in this years Nacht der Galerien 2017 (Night of the Galleries 2017). Most of them are in Bad Godesberg inner city but there is also one in Plittersdorf and one in Schweinheim. Because it’s quite an area to cover, a shuttle bus service will be running again, having proven effective in 2016. Three mini-buses will be in operation.

It is also hoped that nice weather will allow art-goers to stroll between the art galleries in Bad Godesberg, and take in the wide variety of paintings, sculptures and even a light installation. Riding the shuttle bus also has its advantages because one can meet other people and chat about art along the way.

The whole event can of course be viewed as a promotional campaign. Even if art works are not sold on the spot, the attention brought to the galleries is of great value. It’s a way for people to get introduced and become familiar with the galleries.

The following art dealers or galleries will be open from Friday, May 5 between 6pm and midnight:

Im Craftkontor (Koblenzerstraße 35): Sculptures, pots and jewelry from precious metals from Henriett Tomasi. Entrance is on Bürgerstraße.
