German Army Info Day very popular
BONN. The theme „Welcome, curiosity!“ was quite fitting for the info day of the German Army (Bundeswehr) on the market square in Bonn on Saturday. The event was very popular. Many visitors came to find out about different sections of the army,institutionsconnected to the Bundeswehr and learn about airforce, navy and infantry. The event ran until 6pm. It took place in 16 German cities, and for the third time in Bonn.

New cycle path in Adendorf is ignored
WACHTBERG-ADENDORF. During the meeting of the local representatives on Thursday evening, one of the discussed topics was the new cycle path at the Töpferstraße in Achtendorf. The combined foot/cycle path was replaced by a cycle path on the road recently. Many cyclists ignore that new path though - they consider cycling on the Töpferstraße too dangerous.

Plans for municipal hall in Bad Godesberg to be presented in the fall
BAD GODESBERG. It remains unclear what will happen with the municipal hall in Bad Godesberg which is in need of restoration. But the city administration will only deliver plans for what will be done with it in the autumn, it has now been reported. After the summer break it was said the overall event planning for the city will provide the basis for the future use of the municipal hall in Bad Godesberg.

65-year-old Bonn doctor accused of sexually molesting teenage boy
LANDSHUT/BONN. A 65-year-old doctor from Bonn has been charged with orally raping a teenage boyon a plane in Landshut. The man and the boy (then 14 years old) flew to the airfield in Landshut as members of the same flying club, and stayed on the plane together overnight to „avoid it being stolen“. When the boy felt uncomfortable and pretended to have to go to the loo, the man followed him and subsequently groped him. Later - back in the plane - the man forced the boy to orally pleasure him, according to the prosecution. The accused claims the boy made thestory up due to a personality disorder and denies the charges. The case continues.
