To celebrate 175 years of existence, the Anglican parish St. Boniface is holding a festival service at 3pm on Saturday in the Schlosskirche (An der Schlosskirche 1). Holy Communion will be administered by The Right Reverend David Hamid, the suffragan bishop of the Church of England Diocese in Europe.

„The Bonn English Singers“ are providing the music. Reverend Hamid was born to Scottish and Burmese parents. After working in Canada and London, he is responsible for the Anglican parishes in the Diocese in Europe in Gibraltar, France, Germany and Northern Europe since 2002. The „Diocese in Europe“ is the 42th diocese in the Church of England and has over 300 parishes in 44 countries (Europe, Morocco, Turkey, Russian Federation).

St. Boniface is the Anglican parish in Bonn, and English language services in the Anglican tradition always take place on Sundays at 9.30 am in St. Paulus, Siegburger Straße 75. There are regular meetings of a bible study group too.

Several members sew heart-shaped cushions for women suffering from breast cancer, the cushions get donated to hospitals. Each year, they hold a „Garden Party“ and a bazaar. Fore more information, please see www.anglicanbonncologne.de.
