United Nations in Bonn Festival of Ideas at WCCB
Bonn · It’s global, important and innovative and it will be taking place in Bonn every year. The United Nations will once again be hosting the “Global Festival of Ideas” in March.
Another building block for the UN city: In March, the United Nations will be hosting for the second time the three-day “Global Festival of Ideas” in Bonn. It will take place at the World Conference Center Bonn (WCCB) from March 21 to 23. Around 1,000 guests are expected at the WCCB, as announced by the Sustainable Development Goals Action Campaign of the UN.
"The Global Festival of Ideas will be organized to take place in Bonn every year," says Marta Rojas, spokeswoman for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Action Campaign. The small but important campaign office has been based in Bonn since 2016.
Making sustainability goals concrete
At the festival, guests from all over the world and local participants are expected to discuss how the sustainability goals can be specifically achieved. It's about innovation, communication and civic engagement, according to spokeswoman Rojas. Planned is a program framework with music, photo exhibition and video presentations.
