Outdoor pools Extended openings in Bad Honnef and Königswinter

Siebengebirge · If you’re looking for a little more pool time this summer, you’re in luck. Nice weather has prompted a couple regional outdoor pools to stay open a bit longer.

Weather is expected to remain summer like in many of the coming days so the outdoor public swimming pools in Bad Honnef and Königswinter have decided to stay open a little longer. There might be a few cool or wet days as well but many days are expected to be pleasant and warm enough for swimming.

The Grafenwerth Island outdoor pool in Bad Honnef will stay open until September 11. From Thursday, September 1, it will be open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. If temperatures stay warm after September 11, the opening could be extended.

In Königswinter, the outdoor pool was scheduled to close on Wednesday but they decided to extend the opening a week until next Wednesday, September 7. From Thursday on, the pool will be open 10 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Early swim hours are over.

For anyone who was planning on attending the doggy swim at Lemmerz outdoor pool on September 4, that has been cancelled and is being rescheduled. (Orig. text: Heike Hamann)
