Bad Godesberg to Bonn Exhibitionist exposes himself on train
Bonn · A young woman was followed from the platform onto the train at the Bad Godesberg train station. When she went to inform police in Bonn, she says “I was told that there had just been two arrests and nobody had time."
On Monday, a young woman was followed from the Bad Godesberg platform onto the train by a man who then exposed himself. She went directly to the police bureau at the central train station. On Monday evening, an exhibitionist bared himself to a 19-year-old woman. The young woman told General Anzeiger that she was at the Bad Godesberg station to take the 7:01 pm train to Bonn. Already on the platform, she had the feeling she was being observed. She got in the train, sat down - and the man stood in her view, opening up his coat. Shortly after 7 pm when the train arrived at Bonn Hauptbahnhof (central station), the 19-year-old went directly to the police station (called Gabi) to report the crime.
Police said it would have been better if she called instead of coming to the police station
“I was told that there had just been two arrests and nobody had time,” she reported. Further, she said they told her, “they didn’t want to send me away but it would be better if I would come back the next day.” Then they informed her that it would have been better if she had called right away instead of coming to the police station - then “they could have sent someone there. But I was sitting in the train and I thought I would be in Bonn in a few minutes anyway,” said the young woman. In response to General Anzeiger, the police said that the young woman had come to them and they offered that she could take a place and wait in line because all of the police were involved in discussions at that time. Alternatively, they said she could come back the next day.
The 19-year-old did go to police the next day, but instead of returning to the unit at the train station, she went to the police station in Ramersdorf, where photos of possible exhibitionists were shown to her.
