Burg Adendorf Country & Garden Fair
Wachtberg · A unique atmosphere awaits visitors who attend the “Landpartie” in Wachtberg over the long weekend. More than 150 exhibitors will participate.
For those who love the serenity of the countryside and the beauty of a castle with a moat, the “Landpartie” at Burg Adendorf is not to be missed. Since 2013, around 20,000 visitors have been coming each year to the Country & Garden Fair. This year, there will be more than 150 exhibitors as well as lots of activities and a summer-like atmosphere. It opens this Thursday, May 5 and runs through Sunday, May 8. Since Thursday is a holiday and shops are closed, this offers a great way to spend the day.
Owners and residents of the idyllic manor are Gabriela Freifrau von Loë and Georg Freiherr von Loë. During the four days of the fair, there will be much to see both indoors and outside where the property borders a beautiful park. If you are into gardening, there will be exhibitors with information about plants and plant breeding. Decorating experts will be on hand as well as wine growers, delicatessen retailers and florists.
Besides all of that, you can do some shopping to add fun new pieces to your wardrobe, either trendy and modern or something classic. Travel specialists will also be present and someone lucky will win a trip to the Aegean Sea. Live music will be provided by the group, “Die Akustischen Vier” (The acoustic four) with vocals, saxophone, contra bass and other instruments. Classic old cars will be on display, and visitors can bring their art and have it’s value estimated.
For kids, there is also something to do. The Waldorf kindergarten offers games and stories for all kids from the age of three. They are open from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. The address to get to the fair is simply Burg Adendorf, Wachtberg. Tickets bought in advance cost 12.50 euro at www.landpartie-adendorf.de or 15 euro at the fair. Kids 16 and under get in free. Opening hours are 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
