Bonn central train station Closure Thursday night
Bonn. · Police and fire department operations at Bonn central train station caused a temporary closure Thursday night.
On Thursday evening at about 8 p.m., a person was found dead in the vicinity of the Bonn central train station. A spokesperson for federal law enforcement authorities said no foul play was suspected and no other individuals were involved. Police and fire department officials closed off all of the train tracks at the station and no trains were allowed in or out.
At around 10 p.m., witnesses said train track crossings along Kaiserstraße were still closed. Long distance trains were redirected to tracks on the right side of the Rhine and temporary transportation was set up between Bonn central station and Bornheim-Roisdorf.
Bonn central train station was re-opened at around 10:15 p.m. Police say it took another one and a half hours until the situation and traffic returned to normal.
