Bonn · 40 years after its world premiere, the Circus Roncalli is in Bonn with its anniversary programme. The premiere was on Sunday evening in the Stadtgarten and you can see all the photos here.
Circus Roncalli held its Bonn premiere of its anniversary programme “The journey to the rainbow continues” on Sunday in front of a sellout crowd. Forty years ago this May, circus boss Bernhard Paul and his then troupe celebrated their world premiere on the Bonn Hofgarten fields.
Lots of clowning around, spectacular acrobatics and the nostalgic atmosphere of this quality circus with its own orchestra also thrilled the visitors to the premiere on Sunday.
The area in front of the Beethovenhalle is not available because of building works, so Roncalli has pitched its tent in the Stadtgarten at the Alter Zoll, not far from its original location. The next performances are on Wednesday at 3.30pm and 8pm. Tickets are available in the Bonnticket shops at the GA branches. Performances run until May 28. (Orig. text: Martin Wein)
