On the 31st of December, people all over Bonn and the region will be popping corks. It’s on to the next year. If you’re wondering where to celebrate, here is a sampling of events put together by ga.de.
Large New Year’s Eve Gala at the 10th Bonn Christmas Circus. Get ready for laughter, amazement and joy at the circus; an event bringing together music, art, comedy and fireworks. At the decorated entrance to the tent, there will be grilled eats and drinks, music and entertainment until 1am. The performers will celebrate alongside the guests. Start: 8pm. Tickets: 20€+. Ringing in the New Year at Maritim Hotel Bonn: The night begins with a festive gala buffet or a tasty pasta buffet. Various entertainment/musical acts and sound-fireworks await the guests. There are also several prizes to be won. One ticket for the drawing, along with selected beverages (with or without alcohol) are included in the entrance fee. Inclusive drinks end at 3am. Bonn Gymnastics Club New Year’s Eve Ball with music and dancing at the Bad Godesberg Stadthalle (City hall). Start: 8pm. Tickets: 25€+. Pre-sale: 0228/2076667 and at bonnticket.de
Grand Celebration - Snow-Ball New Year’s Eve Party at Hotel Königshof: In the big meeting rooms of Hotel Königshof, situated right next to the Rhine, guests can enjoy various musical acts (including DJs, live acts, and a contestant from “The Voice of Germany”) with a breathtaking view of the fireworks over the river. The party will continue past midnight- open end! The entrance fee includes a glass of champagne and a lottery ticket for a trip to New York City. Tickets: 29€. Grand Gold New Year’s Eve Party: At the Kameha Grand Hotel beginning at 9 pm. Fascinating decorations, live acts and DJs, dance animations and a glamorous fireworks belong to the night of gold. Tickets from 49€ are available at the hotel reception.
Rockin’ New Year’s Eve in Phantasialand: This year’s theme is “It’s a kind of magic” with big pop/rock hits sung live by the tribute band “Rhapsody.” There will also be a gala buffet and a selection of free drinks all night. After the midnight fireworks, the party continues with dancing and New Year’s refreshments. Start: 7:30pm. Tickets: 190€ per person (must be 12 or older). Contact/info: 02232/36600
New Year’s Eve Gala in GOP: Restaurant Leander. A festive New Year’s menu is on offer in the restaurant and afterwards guests are welcome to dance their hearts out on three different dance floors with sweet treats after midnight. Start: 7:30pm. Tickets: 89€. Contact: 0228/4224141.
New Year’s on a Boat with the Bonner Personen Schifffahrt (BPS, Tourist Boats): climb aboard the Rheinprinzessin boat for a Mediterranean buffet, fireworks and musical entertainment or the Poseidon party-yacht for a gala buffet and live music. New Year’s Eve on the Godesburg: A festive buffet and champagne toast with a view of the fireworks over Bonn. Piano music followed by a live band and DJ after midnight for dancing. New Year’s Gala at Rheinhotel Dreesen: Guests will be served a 5 course gala menu; afterward, a live band will provide music for dancing into the wee hours and there will be a traditional tombola raffle. New Year’s World Beat Party at Brotfabrik: World music at the Brotfabrik stage in Bonn, Kreuzstraße 16, with live percussion, a few surprises, Afro-beat, Bollywood tunes, Cumbia, Reggae & Dancehall, Nu Swing and more. Start: 9pm. Pre-sale tickets online for 10€, also in-person at the KulturKneipe Brotfabrik. Tickets also available at the door from 9pm on 31 December.
