Rotten wooden planks Bridges in Rheinaue park in Bonn closed
Bonn · In the Rheinaue park two pedestrian bridges are currently closed because the wooden planks need to be replaced. This affects the training route for the Bonn marathon.
"Both these bridges are part of the Telekom’s official running routes and are used by many runners to prepare for the marathon and half marathon in Bonn", wrote a GA reader.
The runners must avoid using this path and find other routes. "Around 25 wooden planks need to replaced. The material is currently being ordered by the purchasing department according to procurement directives, explained the press office for the city council. Repairs will be carried out once the material has been delivered, in around four to five weeks. The costs will be in the region of 5000 to 6000 euros.
