Several districts affected Bonn municipal utilities fix power failure in Beuel
Power outage in Bonn-Beuel on Tuesday afternoon. Meanwhile, employees of the municipal utilities have restored the power supply to the households. The reason for the failure is also known.
After a large-scale power failure in Beuel, employees of Stadtwerke Bonn (SWB) switched affected households back on and thus restored the power supply. According to SWB spokeswoman Veronika John, the power supply was restored in the district around 5 pm. Individual households were therefore already back on the net after 20 minutes.
According to initial findings, the reason for the failure was a defective power cable between Königswinterer Straße and Flutgraben Straße. The power failure affected several districts in Beuel, 14 network stations had failed. According to SWB, the power failure occurred around 4 pm. Among others, the town centre and Ramersdorf were affected. Those affected also reported outages in Küdinghoven and Limperich.
The hospital in Beuel was also affected by the blackout. However, this had no effect on the operation of the hospital, as the emergency power generator had started, an employee told the GA. Around 4.35 p.m. the electricity was back again.
