Weekend event Beer Exchange at the Rheinaue
Bonn · More than 700 varieties of beer from all over the world will be on offer at the Beer Exchange this weekend. It’s the 22nd year of the annual event at the Rheinaue.
Come this weekend, it will be the 22 years of the Beer Exchange at the Rheinaue. In German , it’s called “Bierbörse” which makes it sound a little like the stock market exchange - “Börse” meaning just that. But no need for confusion, this is all about beer.
For three days, July 21 to July 23, visitors can enjoy free admission and wander through the beer market. Around 80 different beer and food stands from the various continents will be on hand so people can sample the offers from all over the world. More than 700 specialty beers will be on offer, as well as a variety of entertainment acts on stage.
On Friday at 3:30pm, Jazz Orchestra Muckefuck will take the stage, and at 6 pm, Mayor Reinhard Limbach will tap the barrel for the official opening of the Beer Exchange. At 7:30pm, the band “Das Wunder” will entertain.
German star Guildo Horn will take the stage on Saturday at 7:30 pm with his “orthopedic stockings.” On Sunday at 4:30pm, the cover band Still Collins will take the stage with music from Phil Collins.
