GA short list Amusement parks opening for the season

Bonn · Easter vacation is just around the corner in North Rhine Westphalia. With some nice weather in store, it’s fitting that these adventure parks are opening for the season.

Phantasialand

Phantasialand in Brühl is the largest amusement park in NRW. In addition to the attractions, including the latest high-speed rollercoaster Taron, Phantasialand also hosts the successful Fantissima dinner show. For the younger guests, there is a children's roller coaster, a maze and a playground. Real adrenaline junkies will get their money's worth on four different attractions.

Tip: Spring special: From April 1 - 30, there is a voucher for a free second park entrance.

Price: Children 0 - 4 years: free of charge, children 4 - 11 years: 35 €, adolescents from 12 years and adults: 46.50 €

Overnight stay: There are two hotels: Ling Bao and Matamba. When booking a mini-vacation at Phantasialand, there are various special-price packages offering discount deals.

Hansa Park

The Hansa Park in Lübeck is the only adventure park in Germany by the sea. New features in 2017 include not only the Kärnapulten, a real nerve-tester, but also a new children’s rollercoaster and 4D- movies. In eleven different theme worlds there is something for everyone to discover. If you need a little time out, relax in the Hansa garden.

Tip: On the 16th and 17th of April, the highlight will be "Easter in the Hansa Park". In an Easter egg competition, children can let their creativity run wild.

Price: Children 0 - 4 years: free of charge, children 4 - 14 years: 29 €, adolescents from 15 years and adults: 37 €

Overnight stay: The Hansa Park Resort can accommodate families of all sizes. Most of the different cottages have sea views.

Europa Park

In Europa Park, 15 European countries are the inspiration for the different themes. In "Iceland" the "blue fire Megacoaster" catapults courageous guests with 100 km/h through the air. For those who like something quieter, the park offers a show program and a big parade. In the 50 restaurants, there is something to meet every taste bud, the "Ammolite - The Lighthouse Restaurant" has been awarded two Michelin stars and provides a special experience.

Tip: New in 2017 is the Project-V; various events in the Europa Park will include an appearance of the Ehrlich Brothers on April 21

Overnight stay: If you want to stay at Europa Park, you can choose between five different hotels. A special attraction is the Cowboy Resort and if you want to save some money, you can stay at the campsite.

Heide Park

Even if the world's largest wooden railway is currently closed due to repair work, the Heidepark in Soltau still has enough adventure to offer. The "Desert Race" roller coaster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds. In addition to the "thrillseeker" attractions, there are also numerous family attractions. In summer, there are the Pyro Games - a dueling fireworks at the Heidepark Resort. The combination of music and fireworks is designed only and especially for this evening.

Tip: On July 22nd, July 29th and August 5th, long summer nights will be held in the park, where the attractions are open until 10pm.

Movie Park

The Highfall is a free-fall tower of a different kind. The 45-degree forward tilted seats make the fall into the depths even more breathtaking. In Moviepark Germany there is a Spongebob theme area for small and big fans. Many shows, such as the newly named Highschool Musical Superstar or the Movie Park On Parade, complete the visit. From Asian food to snacks from the Western Ranch, the Movie Park has everything you need.

Tip: On the 13th of May the XXL TuberDay comes to the Movie Park - an opportunity for all Youtube fans to meet their web video stars.

Legoland

A NinjaGo event will take place at Legoland Germany at the start of the 2017 season. The new NinjaGo theme area with martial arts and sword dancers will be inaugurated. Based on the popular children's toys, the Legoland is divided into eight exciting themes such as "Land of Pirates" or "Lego City". In Legoland, children can earn their own driving license, go jet skiing, control a canoe, compete in a knight tournament, or assemble a Lego robot. In the park, over 56 million Legos have been built up and provide for an unforgettable trip.
