Deadly drug deal on the Heiderhof A third person was at the scene

Another 16-year-old was involved in the drug deal at the Heiderhof, but not in the stabbing. A school mourns over the loss of their classmate.

Following the deadly knife attack on Ließemer Weg on the Heiderhof, there is new information that a third person was at the scene. According to chief prosecutor, Robin Faßbender, there was a 16-year-old along with his 18-year-old friend when they met up with the other 16-year-old to buy drugs from him. The 16-year-old friend was apparently involved in the drug deal but not the stabbing.

Statements taken from the 16-year-old suspect and the 16-year-old friend do not match up, according to Faßbender. “There are still contradictions,” he said. Apparently, the youth had met up already on Saturday at another point and then drove to the secluded area on the Heiderhof together. Faßbender did not want to comment on the exact meeting point. According to information learned so far, the accused 16-year-old wanted to sell more marijuana than what could be considered an amount for private consumption only.

On Saturday evening at around 7:55 p.m., a conflict developed during the drug deal. The 16-year-old selling the marijuana pulled out a knife and stabbed the 18-year-old in his upper body. The victim had been known to police for a very small previous minor violation. After having fled the scene and being found by police, the 16-year-old admitted to having stabbed the older teen. Faßbender would not comment on how well the trio knew each other but said, “It was not a random meeting.”

Information obtained by GA reveals that the suspect is from Tannenbusch and prosecutors report that he has no previous criminal offenses on his record. There are however, initial clues that he had tried to sell drugs previously.

The 18-year-old victim apparently attended a Gymnasium (high school/secondary school) in Bad Godesberg. On Monday, social workers were there providing pastoral care and support for students, who were let out of school early. The press office for the city also reported that the psychological support services of the Jugendamt (Bureau for Youth Services) has also offered help to the school. GA has information that the 18-year-old was very well-liked by both classmates and teachers.
