Restaurant Guide A taste of the Italian Riveria at “Portofino” in Beuel

Beuel · Italian restaurant and pizzeria “Portofine” has been run by Marco Zandegiacomo since March 2009. With its arched walls and terracotta floor, the restaurant offers space for 70 diners, with 40 seats in the room with a fireplace.

There is a winter garden with eight seats and an outdoor patio in the courtyard which seats 60.

On the menu:

starters from the antipasti counter from 7 euros, freshly baked pizza Portofino from the wood-fired oven, topped with fresh seafood for 10.90 Euro, Tagliarini all'agnello in rosemary and red wine sauce for 12.50 Euro. A lunchtime menu is available for 8.90 Euro and there is a menu of regional Italian specialties on a weekly basis.

Drinks:

Bitterino Portofino (San Bitter, passion fruit juice, lime juice, fresh mint and Selters mineral water) 5.90 Euro, six different open wines (0.2l) from 4.10 Euro and 25 wines by the bottle from 21 Euro, such as Gewürztraminer Le Meridiane vonder Cantina Sociale di Trento (from South Tirol) at 27.90 Euro and Cannonau von Dollianova (from Sardinia) at 25.90 Euro

The guests tend to be families and business people. The house philosophy according to Marco Zandegiacomo is to provide fresh ingredients together with great cooking and a hearty atmosphere.
