Theaterplatz, Koblenzer Straße and Alte Bahnhofstraße were the first locations to come under police scrutiny. Police officers also made a stop at Rheinallee. Shortly after they left that location, making their way to Panoramapark, a robbery was reported at the corner of Rheinallee and Dürenstraße. Two men had blocked the path of a 17-year-old and asked him if he had any cash or a cell phone. One of the men showed the youth a gun he was carrying in his pocket. The teen then handed over a small amount of cash that was in his wallet and gave them his cell phone. The two suspects headed towards the inner city, but left the cell phone on top of a wall. Afterwards, the 17-year-old went and picked up his phone and returned home. Police were notified.

The suspects are described as follows: One of the men was about 1.8 meters tall and thin, dressed in dark clothing. The second man was also around 1.8 meters, but he was heavy set and had a beard. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and had a scarf covering his face. Criminal police are investigating and ask for anyone with information to contact them at: (0228) 15 0.
