It was around 4.50pm on Thursday afternoon when a 16-year-old girl was robbed and threatened with a knife on Brombeerweg in Bornheim. She was out for a walk when she was threatened by an unknown man near the crossing of Buchholzweg. Apparently he had walked behind her for a while. The man demanded the 16-year-old hand him her handbag. Afterwards he fled towards Essener Straße.

Despite an immediate search by the police the culprit could not be identified yet. The police are asking the public for help.

The culprit is described as 20 to 25 years old, approximately 1.80 metres tall, with light-coloured to dark-blonde hair. He did not wear showy glasses nor a noticeable beard. He wore bright coloured trousers, a brown outdoor jacket, a tight-fitting grey hat and loafers. The man had a normal build and spoke German without an accent.
