Kate Pickett reading tonight „Equality is good fortune“

British health scientist and author of „The Spirit Level: Why More Equal Societies Almost Always Do Better“, Kate Pickett, is reading at 6pm at the Akademie für Forschung und Lehrer praktischer Politik (BAPP) in the University of Bonn on Wednesday.

The subject of her reading will be „Equality is good fortune: Global inequality and its consequences“. The event is an English-language reading.

Kate Pickett’s reading is part of a public series of lectures by different speakers, organized by the University of Bonn and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. Under the heading „Mind the Gap“, seven top-class scientists and people from the general public are attempting to find answers to the question how much inequality can a society handle?
