Fronhofer Galeria “dm” store to re-open
Bad Godesberg · Next week, Fronhofer Galeria will celebrate a re-opening after months of repairs and renovations following flash flooding last June. The underground parking garage will not be ready.
On Friday, March 10, the “dm” drug store at the Fronhofer Galeria will open its doors once again, nearly completing the re-opening of stores in the Bad Godesberg shopping mall. Flash flooding at the beginning of June, 2016 caused heavy damage and the Galeria was closed down for repairs and refurbishment.
Center Management invites the public to an official re-opening on March 10 at 2 pm. The “dm” store will open its doors at 9 am. After renovations, the drug store chain now offers a large cosmetics counter for its customers. On Friday, there will be various specials for shoppers.
The underground parking garage remains closed for the time being. According to Center Management, it is expected to open again in the coming weeks.
On June 4 of 2016, around 4 million liters of water poured into the shopping center and underground parking garage, causing severe damage. As a result, the Fronhofer Galeria was closed for many months while repairs were carried out. Uncertainty about how long repairs would take and when the mall would re-open caused Benetton and “Mi parti” clothing stores to leave the Galeria.
